Hello,
It is with great excitement that I make the following announcement:
Trace Labs has seen rapid growth and increasing interest in our work, especially around the Global Search Party CTFs and our always on community. To scale responsibly, we need to expand our leadership capacity. As the founder and currently a single director, I’m only one person; this structure is required so decisions can happen closer to the work and we can keep delivering at the level the community and partners now expect.
Effective immediately:
Sarah Miller is appointed Director of Community & Programs
Scope: Global Search Party CTF coordination, Discord/community operations, volunteer onboarding standards, sponsors, training, administrative reporting, merchandise, community recognition and alignment across community facing initiatives.
Nataly Sheinin is appointed Director of Technology & Platform
Scope: website, CTF platform, infrastructure, VM operations, reliability/security, CTF reporting, on-going operations, and the technical roadmap
Program alignment:
To better match how we operate today, Reporting Lead will sit within Technology & Platform and Training Lead will sit within Community & Programs so scheduling, volunteer workflows, and communications are coordinated directly with the CTF cadence and broader community operations. This is an operating model change to reduce delay and improve execution.
Leadership continuity remains important:
Brent Louie continues as Program Lead, Reporting, owning reporting outcomes and delivery.
Osama Shilbayeh continues as Program Lead, Training, owning training content and delivery.
In addition, we are creating a new Support Operations Program. This group will be responsible for board support across the entire organization and will report jointly to all Directors, with duties divided by project rather than unit.
Andrin will serve as Co-Program Lead, Support Operations.
Timon Stalder will serve as Co-Program Lead, Support Operations.
This largely reflects the work they have already been doing, supporting Discord, the CTF Platform, and a host of other initiatives. Please join me in congratulating those individuals
